UOW Multicultural Society Club vice-president Sahil Kapoor said the three-day event allows students of all backgrounds to mingle, celebrate their heritage and bring exposure to cultural issues.
"The week presents an opportunity for domestic and international students to come together and embrace the range of cultures that we have here," he said.
"It is important because UOW is like an international hub, there are so many corners of the earth that have come into this one area to study."
Celebrations kicked off on Tuesday with a conversation walk with clubs, henna tattoos, a manga/anime drawing class and Chinese calligraphy.
A range of international stalls were open on Wednesday night for the moonlit markets.
Earlier in the day students enjoyed a belly dancing performance, a belly dancing class, a Flamenco band performance and Day of the Dead face painting.
Celebrations wrap up on Thursday, September 19 with an outdoor film screening of 'Coco', a Hummus bar, an African dancing class and a performance by an African band.
"It's so good to be able to celebrate the diversity we have here," Kapoor said.
