One more win.

The chance to claim that victory will come when the side takes on Newcastle in next weekend's final, after Greater Illawarra completed an unbeaten weekend in Goulburn with victory over ACT Southern Districts on Sunday.

While thrilled with the effort over the three days, Fleming said his team remains focused on achieving their ultimate goal, an overall NSW Country Championships title.

"This was a massive achievement from our team, especially with the people that pulled out," Fleming said. "Now we have one more match to focus on and that's beating Newcastle.

"I'm ecstatic with the effort the guys put in over the three days. We have a mix of experience and youth, we all worked together to achieve something.

"I've been playing Country Championships for 15 years and I've played in two finals. This isn't something that comes along without the hard effort that we've put in.

"We were clinical all three days with bat, ball and in the field. Not one team got close to us."

After a big win over Western on Friday, Greater Illawarra made it two on the trot with a 69-run victory over Riverina on Saturday.

Dale Scifleet laid the platform for the win with 72 at the top of the order as the team reached 7-221, before Mitch Hearn took four wickets to help bowl Riverina out for 152 and secure the win.

The duo were also among the side's best on Sunday, with Hearn combining with Jake O'Connell to produce a 117-run seventh-wicket stand to lift Greater Illawarra out of a major hole.

The team appeared to be in trouble at 6-120, before the pair came together for a match-turning partnership.

Hearn ultimately finished with 64, while O'Connell was 52*, having guided the side to 9-265.

Scifleet then put Greater Illawarra in complete control, taking a wicket in the first over of the run chase. A second came soon after, before O'Connell, Fleming and Elliot Hooper each took two wickets. ACT Southern Districts were eventually bowled out for 172.

Remarkably, both Scifleet and O'Connell were only drafted into the side this week as injury replacements and Fleming was thrilled with their impact.

"Dale's been phenomenal all three days. He's unfit, but he's experienced and he's a competitor.

"I've had my fair share of battles with him in club cricket, but he's someone I'd rather have in my team than against. He was a late selection but he was pretty close to being player of the tournament.

"I was also thoroughly impressed with Jake O'Connell. Across the three days he fielded fantastically, he didn't get a lot of chances with the ball, but when he did he bowled well and he batted well.

"He's only 18, but he's a lovely kid and he's got a big future around here."
