The total ban will also be in place across the Shoalhaven, Southern Highlands and Far South Coast.
The danger rating for the Illawarra and Shoalhaven is severe, with temperatures expected to reach 35 degrees by 3pm and winds as high as 27km/h forecast.
Due to the fire ban, Shellharbour City Council has stated Bass Point Reserve, Blackbutt Reserve and the north entrance to Croom Rd Sporting complex will be closed to the public for community safety.
