A male pedestrian has died after being hit by a car on Central Avenue in Oak Flats.

Emergency services were called to the roundabout on Central Avenue and Fisher Street around 11am on Thursday, after a man believed to be in his 80s was hit by a car.
Police have been told a man was crossing the road when he was struck by a Subaru Impreza.
Paramedics treated the critically injured man on scene and had a chopper ready to fly the patient to St George Hospital but he was transported to Wollongong Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
He is yet to be formally identified.
The male driver of the Subaru was taken to hospital for mandatory testing and is assisting police with inquiries.
Officers from Lake Illawarra Police District established a crime scene and started an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
