Earlier in 2019, even popular areas such as Kiama appeared to be feeling the effects of a softening property market.
However, as recent figures indicate the region's market is displaying growth, demand appears to be outweighing supply in the desirable Kiama local government area.
There are a series of appealing properties listed for sale in the Kiama LGA.
One example is 1/3-5 Bong Bong Street, Kiama, which has a price guide of $2.5 million.
Located a short walk from Surf Beach, the three-bedroom, three-bathroom unit was formerly two ground floor units, but has been transformed into a single abode.
Overlooking Chittick Oval and with beach views, the home has a grand master bedroom with water views, and a large walk-in robe which features a floor-to-ceiling mirror.
The master and entertaining area, which also features a bar, opens onto a spacious front deck.
Selling agent, First National Coast & Country's David Hall said since the federal election, the Kiama market had been on an upswing.
"We were having very few people through open houses before the election," he said.
"But I think the election result, plus interest rates still going down has really generated a whole new confidence in the Kiama market.
"But the Kiama market's always going to be strong. People like living here... There's a lot of interest around, the market all over is still pretty strong.
"We need more listings to match the inquiry at the moment. There's always a lot of inquiry around that $890,000 to over $1 million mark."
Meanwhile, among Ray White Gerringong principal Kate Morgan's current listings is 27/128 Belinda Street, Gerringong.
This property will be auctioned on December 18, if not sold prior.
There's no reserve price available at this stage.
However, the south-east facing penthouse, located at No.28 within the same complex, sold for $1.415 million in April 2018.
The penthouse apartment offers 180-degree panoramic views over Werri Beach and Gerringong to Saddleback Mountain, farmland and surrounding escarpments.
This north-facing penthouse includes three bedrooms, two bathrooms and three car spaces.
Ms Morgan told the Mercury the Gerringong market is still staying strong, with a lot more buyers ready to buy than properties for sale.
"The high demand for properties in this area means properties are selling quite quickly for consistently good prices," she said.
"The penthouse offers a unique opportunity to buy into the hub of Gerringong, with the exceptional ocean and mountain views creating the feeling of space often missing in apartment living.
"It has been getting a lot of interest - a combination of people looking for a holiday home or a permanent low maintenance home to downsize to."
