The Illawarra stars are confirmed among the Kookaburras squad, with Ogilvie making his Olympic debut and Govers desperate to improve on their quarter-final exit in Rio de Janeiro.
Govers has been a standout on the international stage this year as the Kookaburras leading goalscorer, with 20 for the season, including 12 in the inaugural Pro League.
Ogilvie notched his 100th game for Australia this year and was among the best for the NSW Pride in the new Hockey One league.
The Kookaburras have drawn hosts Japan on July 25, before tackling India, Argentina, New Zealand and Spain.
"To be scheduled against the Olympic host nation to start the tournament is really exciting for our group and will be a great way to launch our campaign," Kookaburras coach Colin Batch said.
"The Olympics is the pinnacle of our sport so we know the magnitude of the challenge in front of us and with the schedule now released, we can start to plan and prepare accordingly for what is ahead."
Meanwhile, Gerringong's Grace Stewart is preparing to take on Spain, China, Japan, New Zealand and Argentina after the Hockeyroos draw was released.
Stewart made her Olympic debut in Rio, where the Hockeyroos also crashed out in the quarter-finals of an Olympic tournament won by Great Britain on penalty strokes against the Netherlands.
