The RAW Comedy competition is coming back to Wollongong Town Hall.
Established by the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, thousands of performers, including some of the nation's finest comedians, have enjoyed comedy acclaim through RAW Comedy.
National heats for the open mic comedy competition kick off across the country in January.
All competitors need to take part is five minutes of original material.
Registrations for the Wollongong heat are now open and budding comedians can register to perform at Wollongong Town Hall.
The Wollongong heat will take place on Friday, February 28.
After the heats are held across the country, the best will battle it out in preliminary finals nationwide.
From there winners head to the Melbourne Town Hall for the RAW Comedy National Grand Final on Sunday, April 5.
The winner will be laughing all the way to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where they'll have a chance to compete in the So You Think You're Funny? comedy competition.
Tickets are also on-sale for the public to witness Wollongong's budding comedy stars in action.
