The fundraising gig will feature a series of Illawarra acts.
The 'Fight Fire with Music' fundraiser will take place on Saturday at Mary's Place (located at 1 George Street, Wollongong).
"I felt really bad that I couldn't physically be there, and I figured if I could do anything I'd rather do something I love and help out that way," vocalist/guitarist Dyllan Floyd, 23 said.
"Anything helps really. We just want to raise as much as we can."
The venue for the grassroots-style show will be one of the band members' homes, with the artists involved donating their time.
"We usually have our rehearsal space there," Floyd said.
"After looking at some venues, we figured it'd just be easier if we just do it at the house.
"It's going to be like a garage thing... The garage is pretty big, and it'll also be going into the driveway and the backyard. It's a pretty big area.
"We've put up a bunch of flyers up just to warn neighbours about it, and if they want to come by and support it. The neighbours say they support it."
Cameron Barton (drums) said the day would feature about a dozen acts.
"It's come together really well... We've got a whole sound system and stage set up there, and we've got a PA," the 19-year-old said.
"We all don't have much money to donate to people, and we just kind of feel helpless that we can't really help out.
"So we thought we might bring together some beautiful people with some beautiful music, and show that we can do something to help out through music."
Entry is by gold coin donation, and participating bands will also be donating any proceeds from merchandise sales on the night.
All proceeds will be going to Australian Red Cross' Disaster Relief and Recovery.
The event kicks off at 12.30pm.
