The Shellharbour product, 24, and partner Samantha Stosur were beaten 4-6, 6-1, 5-7 by Lara Arruabarrena and Ons Jabeur on Friday evening.
Stosur entered the doubles clash having lost her first round singles match to Caty McNally, 6-1, 6-4 on Monday.
Perez missed out on a singles berth at the Australian Open, losing to Yanina Wickmayer in qualifying.
Hpwever, Perez will get another chance at the Australian Open.
The emerging talent will partner with fellow Aussie Luke Saville in the mixed doubles. They will take on Poland's Iga Swiatek and Lukasz Kubot in a first round match on Saturday afternoon.
