In second spot also for a second straight year is UOW's Bachelor of Primary Education course.
The Bachelor of Engineering course jumped three spots from 2019 to be the third most in-demand course in 2020.
Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Pre-Medicine, Science and Health placed fourth and fifth respectively.
But none of UOW's top 10 in-demand courses made a similar list released by Universities Admissions Centre on Monday.
The UAC list though also indicated a strong preference among applicants for health degrees.
Bachelor of Medical Studies/Doctor of Medicine at UNSW Sydney tops the list at 1305 unique first preferences.
The Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine joint medical program at University of Newcastle and University of New England, the Doctor of Medicine at Western Sydney and the Bachelor of Nursing at the University of Technology Sydney and the University of Newcastle also make the top 10 list.
The Bachelor of Business at the University of Technology Sydney was the second most in-demand course with 1105 first preferences and UNSW Sydney's Double Commerce degree also made the list with 597 first preferences.
Popular Bachelor of Arts degrees also featured with the University of Sydney's Arts and combined Arts/Law program along with Macquarie University's Arts degrees receiving a total of 1692 first preferences.
Meantime, with a further 6700 offers released last week, UAC "strongly recommended" that applicants accept offers they are made now so they don't miss out on study in first semester this year, as courses are filling up fast.
Potential students can still apply through UAC for study in first semester until midnight Friday, February 7.
People though should check with their university to see if it has vacancies and is making offers in the remaining February offer rounds.
