Water. It's readily available, incredibly important and easily accessible, however it still is one big area where people get it very wrong in training and everyday life.
Water is vital for our bodies, for everyday living and general cell function. Some important facts about it include:
We need at a minimum 2 litres a day and in excess of 3 litres if we train and drink caffeine.
Our bodies are made up of roughly 65-70 per cent water.
A standard coffee or alcoholic beverage leaves you 1 cup of water less in your daily intake.
If you lose 1 litre in sweat during a big session you should aim to replace it by 125-150 per cent (1.25 -1.5L).
A 2 per cent drop in water in your body due to dehydration starts to reduce energy by amounts up to 10 per cent
Use water as your go to beverage.
