The 28-year-old used chalk and pastels to bring Disney characters to life on the footpath of Compton Street.
For the past few days, Mr Smith, who has always had a passion for drawing and studied screen and media at Wollongong TAFE, drew a new cartoon including Simba; Aladdin, Jasmine and Genie; Belle and Beast, Ariel and Stitch.
"Disney makes people happy and I have been a fan from a young age," he said.
"This is the first time I have done drawings on the pavement.
"I recreated their poses by looking at pictures from my phone but I did their characteristics like clothes, eyes and hair from my memory.
"I want people to enjoy them while times are bad now. I hope they make people happy.
"Doing the drawings has also kept me busy and allowed me to be creative during quarantine"
Mr Smith, who has had artworks displayed during Wollongong's ComicGong festival, said it took him four hours to complete the large characters and two hours for the smaller ones.
He said he had received many messages and pictures of people praising his drawings.
Mr Smith encouraged people to see the drawings before they were washed away by rain.
