Tim Gibson and Jarrod Pollard, the boys behind the South Coast Footballholic Podcast, are running a weekly Esports competition.
Games are played on FIFA 20 and live streamed online, featuring teams from the South Coast. Pollard said the Pro Clubs comp continued to grow in popularity and also raised funds for charity.
"It's proven to be very popular, we've got 19 teams on board over the last couple of weeks," Pollard said.
"It's been a supplement to the lack of actual football at the moment. We thought if we could get this out there on the streams, people would have some football - albeit on the virtual pitch. We've got a donation drive as well for the Black Dog Institute which has been responded to positively as well.
"Special mention to Oak Flats players Jaiden Sovrano and Blake Crandell who have helped set this up and get a few teams involved."
The South Coast Footballholic Podcast was launched earlier this year and is dedicated to "all things football" on the South Coast and in the Illawarra.
Pollard said the podcast's idea began from text messages sent between himself and Gibson.
"Tim and I are both football fans, both involved in the local game and are both uni media students as well," he said.
"We just messaged each other and said 'hey, do you want to start this up?' And about two months later, here we are now. We have over 800 likes on Facebook and have this [Esports competition] up and running now. It's been really good so far."
