Mammoth Projects, the construction company carrying out the work, said the strip and pad footings for the car park were completed last week.
This historic pub, built in 1884, will become a new multi-level hospitality venue with amazing views whilst keeping true to its heritage charm.
The venue, which has been closed for many years, will include a restaurant across three floors, an all-day-dining café and host a range of lifestyle workshop classes, celebrations and meetings.
Located on Grand Pacific Drive and to the south of the Seacliff Bridge, the venue, owned by Shellharbour Workers Club, will include a weather-proofed indoor-outdoor space offering views of the ocean.
Shellharbour Workers Club executive officer Debbie Cosmos said the demolition phase was complete with the footings for the car park which will have room for 34 vehicles and 12 bikes, drainage and services were being completed now.
"Internally, the heritage items have been protected," she said. "The internal works for the lift have also been done.
"We have made sure the building is safe. There has been a lot of work completed behind the scenes of the building.
"We will now continue to work with Welsh + Major Architects on the internal and external design, the details of which are still being refined.
"We will restore the integrity and history of the building and will create a contemporary food and beverage outlet."
Ms Cosmos said construction, which started in September last year, had not stalled and the project was on schedule to be completed in November.
