This news from the NRMA comes as some Sydney servos have inexplicably hiked their prices over 135 cents a litre - when they should be around the $1 mark.
The NRMA's Bridget Ahern said there was no sign of this occurring in the Illawarra, where regular unleaded is as low as 105 cents a litre.
"Right now we're in a bit of a sweet spot where things are stable and we're not expecting prices to change considerably in Wollongong in the next little while," Ms Ahern said.
Ms Ahern said holidaymakers needed to do their research before leaving home.
:Just make sure you know the prices where you are and where you're headed to so you know where the best places to fill up are," Ms Ahern said.
"The Far South Coast, when you get down towards Bega unfortunately tends to be more expensive than what we see further north."
