Tilt said he understood Football NSW would make an official announcement this week and the Rays couldn't wait to play again.
"I think it's [football shutdown period] made us desperate," he said.
"A lot of our girls have aspirations, or have come out of the W-League. There's that desperation to get back on the park again to get back into the W-League again. As soon as games start, W-League coaches are going to be looking at the Premier League and going 'this is where our teams come from'.
"You need to perform from day one, you're not going to have a lead in with a couple of games to warm up. That little bit of desperation is coming out at training, they're sprinting a little bit harder, tidying up those little mistakes and things like that.
"The girls can see light at the end of the tunnel now - we're going to have games again shortly. We're ready to go as soon as they give us the go-ahead."
