Transport for NSW Southern Regional Director Jo Parrott said they will meet the scheduled Sunday, August 9 reopening with crews continuing to work during the rains earlier this week.
"So far, more than 80 per cent of the soil nails required to stabilise the road have been installed, four sites have been completed and a 29-metre concrete retaining wall has been built at the highest risk site to stabilise and strengthen the slope," Ms Parrott said.
The remaining work includes revegetating the slopes and installing mesh and shotcreting.
The road will reopen by 7pm on August 9.
