The She'll Be Right comedy night ran to capacity (a COVID-19 induced 50 patrons) on Saturday night, with fire twirlers and funny women entertaining the crowd.

Like other entertainment venues, the Servo lost all their bookings in March like "a house of cards", meaning the business has needed to diversify.

Currently the venue has partnered with XYZ Dimensions who use the garage space as a workshop for giant prawns and the creation of other artworks, while supplying an outdoor stage via a converted shipping container.

The partnership has allowed performers to safely bring their show outdoors, to allow more patrons to enjoy.

"It just feels really nice to partner with another grass roots, community-based organisation, who like ourselves, value things like zero waste ... and renewable resources," said Hurricane Bestman of XYZ Dimensions.

Pandemic restrictions have made it difficult to book interstate or overseas artists while the type of entertainment they offer also has to adhere to bans on group singing and people dancing.

Servo co-director and musician Jacqui Besgrove said they are looking outside of the box at the moment for diverse offerings.

"We have talked about lots of weird and wonderful ideas," she said.

"Maybe having outdoor cinema ... maybe things that aren't so based around singing.

"The Servo has always been a space where we're open to people contacting us and putting their interesting ideas together and seeing if they work."

Ms Besgrove said they welcomed new ideas and proposals from creatives to use the space. Their large courtyard means they can easily have 50 patrons seated, with a hole-in-the-wall bar and food truck.
