The Wolves were outplayed in a 1-0 defeat to Marconi, their first of the relaunched NSW National Premier Leagues season.
With every match crucial in the shortened competition, Wilkshire is considering adjusting the starting XI to ensure his team rebounds in Sunday's clash with the North Shore Mariners.
"When you're coming off the back of a loss, it opens up the door for changes," Wilkshire said.
"There's a group of players fighting and chomping at the bit to play, it gives me decisions to make in terms of my starting lineup."
While disappointed with the performance a week ago, Wilkshire knows only minor tweaks are required to ensure his side returns to their winning ways on Sunday.
The biggest change the coach wants to see is to his team's attitude, with the Stallions the hungrier side last weekend.
The Wolves lost to North Shore before the shutdown and Wilkshire is confident there will be no repeat performance this time around.
"There were a few things we pointed out that need to improve and I saw that during the week. The attitude and work ethic of the boys has been top drawer.
"We need to be more ruthless in front of goal, we've said that from the start, and we need to have full concentration for 95 minutes.
"We're working on that and on improving every week, I'm sure you'll see that on Sunday."
