The Wombats appear unstoppable this season, producing another clinical performance on Saturday afternoon.
Their charge towards the 2020 premiership continued with a 60-7 dismantling of Kiama at Gerry Cappetta Oval.
Aiono's side put on 10 tries to one in the commanding victory, their sixth bonus-point win of the season and the coach praised his players for repeatedly producing their best no matter the opponent.
"The boys get up every Saturday and it's great to come away with results," Aiono said.
"A lot of these boys I played with and they're still here. They've got that bond, that brotherhood, that friendship and family environment and that's the key to us doing what we do on the field, we're all in this together."
The Wombats' dominance started from the first whistle, with Antonio Ale opening the scoring 10 minutes in.
From there, the hosts crossed for four more first-half tries to lead 29-0 at the break.
Tensions threatened to boil over on a number of occasions, with both sides reduced to 14 men late in the opening 40 after a number of high tackles in close succession.
Kiama had their chances throughout the match, however they made far too many errors to defeat the best team in the competition.
The second half was played in similar fashion to the first, with Avondale controlling the game from the opening whistle. The visitors were their own worst enemy, repeatedly turning the ball over.
With each error, the Wombats made their opponents pay and Andy Duggan was at the centre of the action.
The halfback darted through the defensive line on a number of occasions, while he also provided clean service to the backs.
"He's that link between our forwards and backs," Aiono said. "His performance today was awesome, we saw the class he has. He's smart, he knows when to pass and he knows when to run.
"He got man of the match in the grand final last year and he showed why today. He'd be the best nine running around in the Illawarra right now."
As they so often do, the Avondale forward pack set the tone for victory, the unit dominating at scrum time and in general play.
Anthony Amone was a handful each time he touched the ball, making multiple breaks throughout the game.
The prop has proved a damaging force in both attack and defence this year, with Aiono putting the improvement down to Amone's work throughout the off-season.
"I've been doing a lot of stuff with him in the off-season and the isolation period. He's still getting out there and doing his own stuff, we can see the results of that."
The coach also added a warning for Amone's Illawarra Rugby rivals.
"He's still young, he can go for another 10 years if he wants to."
In Saturday's other games, Campbelltown maintained the pressure on the Wombats at the top of the Illawarra Rugby table with a bonus-point victory over Shoalhaven.
The Harlequins edged their southern rivals 45-40 in a high-scoring affair to remain five points back on the ladder.
The two teams have opened a gap on their rivals, with Vikings sitting third on 16 points.
Phil Green's side claimed a commanding 50-12 win over Camden on Saturday to snap a two-game losing streak.
Shamrocks continued their climb up the Illawarra ladder, running in six tries in a 43-12 victory over Tech.
Woonona sit in fifth place on 14 points, one point behind Shoalhaven.
