The car just missed a walker on the Bens Walk trail.
According to ambulance media, the 30-year-old male was treated for head and facial injuries.
He has now been taken to St George Hospital via an ambulance helicopter in a stable condition.
NSW Ambulance inspector Christopher Lahene described the incident as "miraculous".
"When we are called to jobs like this, where a car has accidentally gone off a cliff, it's quite confronting for our paramedics," he said.
"It's miraculous, even though the car plunged about 30 metres, that the patient was able to walk out of the scene.
"If I were him or the person out for a walk, I'd be getting a lotto ticket because surviving something like this is quite extraordinary."
Just after 7am officers responded to reports of a car off a cliff near the Nowra Showgrounds.
Four ambulance crews and an ambulance helicopter were deployed to the scene along with Police and Fire and Rescue NSW.
