The majority of the club's A-League squad landed in the Illawarra on Sunday. Only missing were goalkeeper Steven Marinovic and midfielder Ulises Davila, who are currently based overseas. They are expected to arrive in NSW soon and will join the squad after spending two weeks in quarantine.
The Phoenix will be based at the University for Wollongong for three weeks as part of a pre season camp.
It is unclear whether the club will remain in Wollongong once the camp concludes. On the club's website, coach Ufuk Talay said they would "further evaluate their options" for a home base in the coming weeks.
"The UOW gives us a great initial location to base ourselves from for this pre-season camp, while we continue to evaluate Wollongong - as well as other locations - for the squad to base themselves from for the 2020/21 season," Talay said.
