Tokyo's city government has restored a giant floating monument of the five Olympic rings to its location in Tokyo Bay, nearly four months after they were removed for safety inspections and maintenance.

A barge on Tuesday towed the rings from a factory in Yokohama to Odaiba Marine Park where it will stand until the end of the Tokyo Games, which were delayed to next year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The monument, measuring 33 metres in width and 15 metres in height and weighing about 69 tons, was installed in January as Tokyo wanted to build momentum ahead of the Olympics.
The International Olympic Committee and local organisers decided in late March to postpone the Games.
