Cambage looms as the key player for the Flyers when they take on the Townsville Fire in the title decider in Townsville.

The 203cm superstar was physically targeted by the Fire in Wednesday's major semi-final, with the Opal left frustrated at a number of non-calls by the referees when contact was made.

Cambage finished the match with 31 points and 18 rebounds in a monumental effort, helping lift her team to a 106-93 win and a direct path to the grand final.

Townsville made their way to the decider with a thrilling 65-62 victory over the Melbourne Boomers in Friday night's preliminary final.

Their challenge of curbing Cambage is a daunting one and Chambers is expecting her star player to be physically targeted once more.

"I mean it's finals basketball, so often it can be a lot more physical than it normally is," Chambers said.

"We're just going to play the way the referees see it. We don't have any issues. As long as it's within the rules, it's fine. Everyone is there to win."

Shyla Heal represents Townsville's biggest offensive weapon.

The 19-year-old guard scored 30 points against the Flyers on Wednesday and she backed it up with a 28-point haul on 11-of-14 shooting against the Boomers.

Heal, the daughter of former Australian men's star Shane Heal, is expected to be snapped up in next year's WNBA draft.

"She's an awesome talent and exciting to watch," Chambers said.

"She's developed a really long way. I think she'll be the future point guard for Australia."

Flyers captain Jenna O'Hea looms as the heartbreak story for the second season running.

O'Hea missed last season's 2-0 grand-final loss to Canberra after suffering a serious wrist injury.

And she's expected to miss Sunday's one-off grand final after injuring the medial ligament in her knee during the second last game of the regular season.

"We'll give her every chance. But if she's not right it's a big year ahead and we won't be jeopardising anything," Chambers said.

"We all did sit down and thought it is deja vu because the exact same thing happened last year. And they're not wear and tear injuries - they've just both been freak ones."
