A truck has jack-knifed while trying to round a tight bend on Macquarie Pass.

The incident happened at 2pm on Thursday with traffic backing up on both sides of the bend.
A heavy vehicle tow truck has been called and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
Small vehicles are able to get around the stranded truck via an alternating traffic flow but Live Traffic advises heavy vehicles are unable to pass the incident site.
