The five-year-old gelding was last seen producing a superb third in the $1 million The Gong over 1600m at Kembla Grange.
With champion jockey Glen Boss aboard, any query the mile was too sharp for him was absolutely laughable after Think It Over held off all challengers over 1300m, including late swooper and favourite Criaderas, trained by Godolphin's James Cummings.
"He's always gone super first-up," Parker said.
"But I did think the 1300m might be a bit sharp against this grade.
"G Boss and 50 kilos in a Doncaster sounds good."
Think It Over won the Group 3 Craven Plate over 2000m last preparation.
And while Boss has his reservations about Think It Over's Group 1 credentials, he said "if he gets conditions to suit, he's never not found the line".
It came after the Robert and Luke Price-trained filly Jamaea fought gamely to run three lengths sixth in the Group 2 Sweet Embrace Stakes, one of the lead-up races to the Golden Slipper.
