The Oak Flats product has signed with South Australia, the all-rounder searching for greater opportunities at the domestic level.
Despite playing for the Thunder in the Big Bash and NSW in the 50-over competition, he is yet to make his Sheffield Shield debut.
It's a path Zampa has previously taken, the spinner joining the Redbacks as a 21-year-old before returning to his home state last winter.
The Warilla junior is joined in the NSW squad by Ulladulla talent Matthew Gilkes and a host of Australian stars, including Mitchell Starc.
Zampa, who recently completed a stint in hotel quarantine following a hasty exit from the IPL, received further good news on Monday. The spinner was named in the preliminary squad for Australia's Twenty20 one one-day tour of West Indies
Cricket NSW head of male cricket Michael Klinger thanked McAndrew for his contributions.
"It is always difficult to leave quality people and cricketers off our list and those four guys have all been fantastic contributors and squad members for the Blues," Klinger said.
