The Woonona talent has been called up to NSW's women's 27s team for their State of Origin clash with Queensland in Coffs Harbour. It will be her fourth Origin appearance, with Zaremski yet to win against her state's maroon rivals.
"My first one was in the under-20s, then I played the opens twice and now I'm in the 27s. It's always a learning curve with a new coach, new players and new team, plus different trend changes in the game. There's always something new," she said.
"I've never actually beaten Queensland before in Origin. It would be reaching another pinnacle of your sport, trying to beat the best of the best for your state. It would be a great feeling, so I'm looking forward to trying to do that on the weekend.
"The rivalry is just as intense in touch footy. You'll still see the crash and bash of people, and people get riled up for that state. You still have that disdain for the other state but you know you're playing against the best."
Zaremski is among four Illawarra locals to be called up to play for their state. Tim Robinson will represent the NSW men's over-35s, while Matt Tope and Bart Hill will play for the men's over-30s side. Joel Willoughby will also coach the open men's team.
The three-game series for each division will be held on Friday and Saturday at C.ex International Stadium.
"I'm stoked to finally pull on a blue jersey for the first time," Robinson said.
"It's always been a goal to play State of Origin and, finally, I get the chance."
