The Shellharbour City Hall of Fame was established in 1988 as a way to celebrate individuals within the Shellharbour City Local Area who have made significant achievements and contributions in their field.
Last year, a permanent Hall of Fame exhibition was installed at Shellharbour Civic Centre to showcase recipients and their outstanding achievements across a diverse range of fields including government, community services, business, the arts, science and sport.
The new recipients are: inorganic chemistry researcher Harold Goodwin; sprint canoeist David Smith OAM; baseball player Stuart Thompson and acrobatic gymnasts Maddison Lacey and Caitlin O'Neil.
Shellharbour Mayor Marianne Saliba congratulated the new recipients:
"The Hall of Fame is a fantastic resource for the community and holds incredible stories of local families and individuals that I'm sure will inspire others," she said.
The Hall of Fame exhibition can be viewed during the Shellharbour Civic Centre opening hours, or alternatively online at https://www.shellharbourciviccentre.com.au/things-to-do/exhibitions/henry-osborne/shellharbour-city-hall-of-fame/
Shellharbour Civic Centre opening hours are 8.30am-8pm, Monday to Thursday
