Set on 727 square metres, the four-bedroom, three-bathroom house is located at 29 Walton Way, Currarong.
Built by the current owners, it's for sale after nearly 30 years.
Selling agent, Kate Morgan from Ray White Gerringong said they were receiving a large amount of inquiries from prospective Sydney buyers.
"I can imagine a whole lot of people sitting in lockdown, dreaming about a place like this," she said.
"There are also quite a few local people who know the area well, or visit the area often that are interested as well."
Other recent sales of waterfront properties in Currarong have attracted some significant prices.
A property at nearby 39 Beecroft Parade sold for $4,150,000 in February, a residential price record for the village.
Also, 25 Beecroft Parade sold for $3.1 million in May.
Currarong is located at the northern tip of the Beecroft Peninsula and adjacent to Jervis Bay.
Ms Morgan said Currarong was a popular spot for buyers, particularly from Sydney and Canberra, who were looking for holiday homes.
"It's absolutely perfect for anyone who loves nature or water," she said.
"There's great surfing breaks, beautiful flat water, protected beaches, and rock pools you can snorkel in and around.
"There's also some good bushwalks to go and explore around the peninsula."
According to CoreLogic, during the past 12 months, houses in Currarong have spent an average of 21 days on the market.
The owners of the new listing bought the property in 1992 for $180,000.
It's believed there may have been a shack on there at that time.
The current house was built in the mid-1990s.
This new listing features raked timber ceilings, plenty of natural light, and an open plan lounge, dining, kitchen area which opens to an outdoor terrace.
A master bedroom, with walk-through robe and ensuite, three more bedrooms and main bathroom complete the top levels of the home.
On the ground floor, there's an open plan living space with kitchenette, third bathroom and space for another bedroom.
This opens to the backyard and to Currarong Creek.
