She was given the license to thrill in 2021, and Danika Matos is preparing to excite Western Sydney Wanderers fans again after inking a new deal with the club.
Now, the Illawarra Stingrays defender hopes to take her game to the next level.
"I hope to keep my spot as the right fullback, left fullback, or whatever the position my new coach Kath (Cannuli) wants to put me in," Matos, 21, said.
"I like to have the spark, I like playing a wide position because I want to get forward as much as possible as well as holding a lockdown defender position.
"Kath is very positive about me going forward, so it's pretty easy to do that when your coach's mindset is like that. It's good for me."
