Residents were also able to take advantage of the hub's walk in Astra Zeneca vaccination service from Tuesday.
An ISLHD spokesperson says the hub is delivering about 700 doses of Pfizer vaccine a day, and will reach the milestone of 10,000 doses delivered this week.
The Astra Zeneca supply will increase the number of vaccinations by about 200 doses per day, split between the Wollongong hub and the Shellharbour Vaccination Clinic.
Rhonda Swan was one of the first to talk advantage of the walk-in service at Wollongong.

"I had no appointment, but I only waited about ten minutes," she said.
"They were so professional and efficient, there were plenty of staff and the whole process was streamlined.
"It was a great vibe in there, there was a real buzz, it was a very positive experience.
"It will make a big difference to a lot of people."
Even with the additional Astra Zeneca doses, the hub will still operate at less than half its capacity.
With sufficient vaccine supply it is capable of delivering 2500 doses of vaccine a day.
Astra Zeneca walk-in vaccination at Wollongong is between 12 noon to 4pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
You can also make an appointment at the Australian Government's online Elgibility Checker, like Kevin Delaney, who also received his first Astra Zeneca shot on Tuesday.
"I booked in this morning and was able to just turn up," he said.
"I would have preferred Pfizer, but it was a much longer wait.
"It was very efficient, everybody was polite - I have no complaints."
