The Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District said 13 were from the Wollongong LGA, with the affected postcodes being 2500, 2502, 2506, 2518, 2519 and 2530.
The Shellharbour LGA recorded 11 new cases, with nine of those in the Albion Park - Tullimbar postcode of 2527.
There were two cases in the Shoalhaven LGA and no new cases in Kiama.
As of 8pm on Saturday there were 35 COVID-19 patients being treated in hospital.
Overall there have now been 2,262 local cases of COVID-19 in the ISLHD since the start of the current outbreak in June.
New areas of concern were also announced on Sunday.
People who visited Peak Sports and Learning at Albion Park between 7:30am to 9am on October 12 are a casual contact and need to self-isolate until receiving a negative result.
The requirements are the same for those who visited Corrimal's His & Hers cafe between 7:10-7:30am on October 11, Fairy Meadow's Leisure Coast Fruit Market & Deli between 1:50-2pm on October 12 and Delano Specialty Coffee at North Wollongong between 9:20-9:31am on October 11.
