From the "Earth is Flat" tribe, to the "Man Didn't Land on the Moon" believers, and the "I was abducted by Aliens" crew; along with many other mind-bending theories up until present times, where it is the 'Net' induced anti-vax theories.

There comes a time when we all have to face reality whether we like it or not. No-one is trying to hurt you or turn you or into something inhuman, etc, etc. COVID is real. So go and get well and truly vaxxed!

VACCINATION WARNING
Its time to put an end to every kind of discrimination against all those Australians who don't want to be vaccinated against COVID-19. With only one more turn left for the pages of the 2021 calendar, the mass vaccination hubs that we have grown used to seeing help protect our people are about to be closed down for ever.
I am perfectly happy to walk among those who don't want the jab and have turned down the free vaccine. But what disappoints me the most is the way that our ignorant federal government went about turning a health issue into a political one. Never once has Morrison told us about the experiences of the overseas medical brains who are saying that there is yet another COVID-19 mutation on the way.
If I am right, and some easy to research developments on the internet say I am, I would plead to everyone to go and get the jab. The words of a young lady doctor to a young man begging for the COVID-19 vaccine as he lay in intensive care, "It's too late", scared the hell out of me. Please get vaccinated.

RIGHT-WING EXTREMISM?
The recent anti-vax and COVID freedom rallies in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane have been compared to the madness which occurred in Washington DC on January 6 this year. One element common to both was the blatant political opportunism of Clive Palmer and Craig Kelly's "Loony Toons rhetoric" emulating defeated president Donald Trump, whipping up his mob of extremists to storm the Capitol Building.
Fortunately, Australia's freedom rallies did not entirely follow the US lead; no murders or significant damage occurred to our public buildings. However, a potential did exist for them to occur. Normal people do not go to demonstrations toting nooses on gallows.
Who among us watching the rallies did not think back to the "Ditch the Witch" and "JuLiar, Bob Brown's Bitch!" banners with Tony Abbott, Bronwyn Bishop and Kevin Andrews standing among them? It poses the question, are we seeing with the nooses and, hyperbolic rhetoric of the Right during our "freedom rallies," a contrived re-energising of extremism in Australian politics?

WORST PERFORMER
Damien Murray has a blinkered and parochial view when it comes to climate action (Web words, 19/11). He singles out China, India and Russia for not reducing their carbon footprint yet overlooks the fact that Australia has a carbon footprint per capita that is larger than all of them.
