About 30 lucky fans were given the chance to ask McCartney a question and hear him perform a few hits in Adelaide.
One fan asked the 81-year-old what he would save in a house fire, apart from his loved ones.
"I'd probably grab my guitar," he said.
"Because the piano would be too heavy."
It's nearly 60 years since The Beatles' legendary first and only visit to Adelaide, when more than 300,000 screaming fans crowded in the city for a glimpse of their idols.
It's fitting the city is where McCartney's Australian tour kicks off on October 18 at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.
Announcing the tour in August, McCartney said he had "many amazing memories" from his time in Australia.
"Our last trip was so much fun. We had such an incredible time. Each show was a party, so we know this is going to be incredibly special. Australia we are going to rock! I can't wait to see you."
The Got Back tour features a mix of solo, Wings and Beatles hits spanning six decades of music.
