A point behind Monaco, Lille remain in fourth place after beating Metz 2-0 with goals from Yusuf Yazici and Jonathan David in first-half stoppage time.
Marseille snapped a four-game winless run in the league with a 2-0 win against Rennes.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored from the spot to put the nine-time champions in the lead and Azzedine Ounahi completed the scoring at the Stade Velodrome.
Romain Del Castillo scored twice as Brest beat Clermont 3-0, while Toulouse and Lorient drew 1-1.
