PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Striker Millie Farrow scored a well-taken hat-trick in Perth's win over City that sent the Glory top of the ALW on goal difference, including twice rounding goalkeeper Lysianne Proulx to score. Coach Epakis described the former England youth international as the full package as a No.9.
STAT: Western United's sister act proved the difference in a 3-1 win over Adelaide United. Mel Taranto teed up sister Adriana to score in the 45th minute, then repeated the feat in the 66th minute. To get that straight: that's two Tarantos, two goals, two assists and four goal involvements between them. Talk about twinning.
BEAT THAT: Kurea Okino scored a lovely equaliser for Melbourne Victory against Wellington. Elise Kellond-Knight slipped a wonderful ball into the path of Japanese striker Okino, who nipped it past Phoenix goalkeeper Rylee Foster and coolly finished from a tight angle.
TALKING POINT: Is Vesna Milivojevic the best player in the ALW right now? The Canberra star has been on fire despite United's difficult start to the season. With a hat-trick against Brisbane, Milivojevic (eight goals) overtook injured Matildas winger Holly McNamara (six goals) to lead the golden boot award, while delivering Canberra's first win of the season, a 5-1 victory. Bad news for Matildas fans though - Milivojevic, 21, is already a fully-fledged international with Serbia. Her day also ended prematurely with a left knee injury and Canberra will hope it isn't the dreaded ACL tear.
UNDER PRESSURE: After losing to Western United, Adelaide remain winless in seven games and sit bottom of the table.
WHAT'S NEXT: City travel to face Central Coast on Friday night. On Saturday, the Victory host Canberra at AAMI Park while under-fire Adelaide welcome Wellington. On Sunday, Newcastle host Western United, Brisbane take on Western Sydney while Sydney FC have the long trip to face Perth.
