The main focus on day five of Northern Beef Week shifted to the Boggabri, Gunnedah and Coolah districts. Opening their studs today were Benelkay Santa Gertrudis, Goolhi, Carlinga Murray Grey, Boggabri, Kurrajong Park Poll Herefords, Coolah, Mullamuddy Brangus and Weetaliba Poll Herefords, both of Gunnedah. Following about six millimeters of rain falling across the region, the studs had a steady flow of producers visiting throughout the day. Many were noted as previous commercial clients that are interested in bulls for the coming season.  Tomorrow the event heads into the Hunter Valley where the following studs will be open; Leven Santa Gertrudis and Rouchelle Murray Greys, Muswellbrook; Mala-Daki Simmental/Black Simmental/Sim-Angus, Bunnan; Top Shelf Angus, Whittingham, and Urban Angus, Wallarobba.  Northern Beef Week continues until Sunday, July 1.  Those keen to visit any of the open days can get directions and information about which studs are open by clicking here. The event is sponsored by Ausmectin, who have been the event sponsor for 15 years. Producers have been catching up with International Animal Health Representatives throughout the days at the various locations and discussing their products and options.
