At about 4am on Saturday, a male attended a home on Eager Street, armed with a shotgun.
Police allege the man knocked on the front door and threatened the man and woman who were inside.
The male tried to gain entry but the occupants managed to close the door.
On Tuesday police arrested a 16-year-old boy at a house on Whitby Mews, Bellambi.
He was taken to Wollongong Police Station, where he was charged with a number of offences including aggravated break and enter and armed with intent.
He was refused bail in children’s court on Tuesday and is due to re-appear in court on Monday, February 24.
