Ladies were first up with a social pairs competition on Tuesday, which was won by J. Tarbert and L. Cook.
Thursday's socials made way for two home pennants games, and it was pleasing to record wins for both teams.
Men's club championship major singles competition began in earnest this week. E. McAuley, R. McNamara, B. Gibson, T. Martin and M. Wilson won. Commiserations to W. Steel, R. Walker, R. Harris, B. Hudson and D. Kohlenberg.
In men's social games the Wednesday triples competition had D. Hatton, G. Brunton and B. Hudson as winners, with runners-up C. Storer, J. Tomlinson and A. Anstey.
Thursday's games were again a mixture of pairs and triples due to the number of players vying for space on the green. This week the pairing of C. Baker and P. Wallace prevailed.
Runners-up were a triples group of W. Steel, B. O'Neil and N. Tylee.
The little shower of rain did not deter the bowling action on Saturday afternoon and R. Dylan, K. Cotter and W. Read were declared winners. Worthy runners-up were R. Hardy, M.K. Miller and K. Condon.
Hopefully I'll be back on the greens with you soon, but I'm still watching.
