Corrimal bowler Barry Cavanough has the hard luck story in Illawarra Zone 16 club championships after a heartbreak loss in the final for a second straight year.
Cavanough made it back-to-back Minor Singles finals at Corrimal only to be beaten 31-30 both years.
Mick Ugarenko edged out Cavanough for the 2014 title in one of the best matches of the year at the northern suburbs club.
Meanwhile, the consistent Ken Hunt claimed Corrimal's Major Singles crown with a 31-18 victory over Trent McMillan in the final.
With Kyle Johannes having left Corrimal to join Dapto Citizens BC and Johannes's father Eric also leaving earlier this season, Corrimal are in need of talented bowlers to play in the Grade 1 side next season.
Shellharbour dropped out of pennants for 2015, so no club was relegated from Grade 1 this season, with Windang promoted to join the 10-team comp as Grade 2 champions.
