Two young boys who were thought to be lost in Mt Keira bushland have been found safe and well at their Warrawong home.

The brothers, aged 10 and 12, had become separated from their mother while bushwalking in Mount Keira on Saturday afternoon.
She reported them missing and a major search and rescue operation involving police, the RFS and SES crews began some time after 2pm.
The search was called off around 6pm after it was discovered the boys were safe at home.
