Under Country Rugby League rules, girls aren't allowed to play against boys past the under 12s and considering she played the first year of her career with the Albion Park-Oak Flats club, where she lives, the milestone is even more merit-worthy.

"I have really enjoyed playing with Jamberoo and the support they have given me.

"Winning the grand final in under 11s last year was definitely the highlight and something I will always remember.

"I hope to come back and play Ladies League Tag with Jamberoo one day.

Jamberoo junior league president Trevor Dallas paid tribute to Tayla.

"It is always a massive achievement for any player to reach 100 games for a club, but with young ladies only able to play until 12s it is even bigger," Mr Dallas said.

"Tay has just snuck this in this year and I could not be prouder of her or think of anyone more deserving of this recognition.

"She has always been the quiet achiever in this team and just goes about her business in a no-nonsense sort of way and I know the boys are going to miss her next year.

"She has always been seen as just one of the boys and never asked for or received any special treatment.

"It is great that we are able to provide a game that all with a passion can play.

"Hopefully next year we can get an under 14s girls tag competition going because our club and the sport will not be the same without our special young lady Tayla Walton."

Tayla will play her final game for the junior Superoos on Saturday at Kevin Walsh Oval against Sussex Inlet.
