Illawarra student Chad Sloman dies in rail tragedy

The community is in shock after the death of popular former Ulladulla High School student Chad Sloman over the weekend.

The 20-year-old former Milton Ulladulla Bulldogs under 18s player was killed in the early hours of Saturday morning when he was hit by a train travelling between Thirroul and Bulli.

Police investigations into the incident are continuing, and anyone with information that might help police is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

After growing up in Mollymook, Chad was living in the Illawarra  with a few other former Ulladulla students while attending the University of Wollongong.

News of his death so shocked the Bulldogs players that several were unable to take to the field during Sunday’s game against Shellharbour.
