OAK Flats Falcons FC struggled to overpower an excellent Corrimal Rangers outfit in a postponed game at Keith Bond Oval on Wednesday night.

The Falcons started well, but were forced to defend doggedly in the latter part of the match.
The winning goals were scored by Joshua de Gouveia in the 61st minute, and an own goal by the unlucky Corrimal defender in the 17th minute, after a powerful shot from Jamie Stevenson was deflected and beat the goal-keeper.
Falcons coach Gus Garcia had to re-shuffle his defence with regular defender Ryan Trevor out injured for a few weeks, replaced by powerful midfielder David Kiss, back from suspension.
Shortly before the end of the match the Falcons lost one player due to a second yellow card.
Corrimal coach Richard Lloyd - a soccer mentor of some standing - was understandably disappointed at conceding defeat.
Gradually Falcons coach Garcia is finding the right composition of defence and midfield while up-front youngsters Sam Markoulis and Alexander Bausch were always a threat to Corrimal.
On the bench the Falcons had Chris Christodoulou, Chris Murdzevski, Dominic Giustiniani, Luke Nolan and 'keeper Brendon Jovanovski, all experienced performers.
The Falcons looked eager and hungry to win.
Reserve grade played on Thursday night and won 2-0 with goals from Christopher Murdzevski, who scored in the second half.
Coach Klaus Wunsch had to re-organise his charges with some players not available.
From the over-35s, Drago Civik made himself ready to take the field.
On the bench were Mathew Keating, Justin Beregshay and Cameron Togac.
Youth grade were hammered in the first half after being forced to play three games in four days. Coach Ryan Trevor praised the boys for a second-half effort that didn't allow Corrimal to score any goals.
On the bench were Lewis Ford, Mason Stewart, Joshua Guthrie, Kyle Martin and Logan Gibb. Three changes were made in the second half to steady the ship.
Next Saturday, the Falcons travel to play the Kiama Quarriers.
