Donna Oliver has been teaching people to move better for over 30 years. Her broad life experience and attention to the finer details of her client’s movement skills has seen her rise to the top of her profession.
Trained at the Australian Ballet School and later teaching dance for 16 years gave Donna her earliest experience needed to communicate a language of moving well.
From 1995 she was given the opportunity to work with injured populations and teach restorative movement and she has never looked back.
Postgraduate studies in Pilates movement as a therapeutic tool in 2001 and a degree in Exercise Science set a pathway seeing invitations to lecture in both the UTS and University of Wollongong in exercising people with special needs and as a sought after expert presenter in both Asia, the USA and in Australia.

Recognised as a leader in her field, her deep understanding of human movement led to developing and creating curriculum and education competencies for the Australian Pilates Method Association, which she is currently the vice president and a co-author for position papers for allied health industries such as ESSA.
Since Wollongong Pilates Studio opened its doors 21 years ago, Donna has developed a unique reputation as a body worker and movement therapist.
Many local practitioners, physio’s, GP’s and massage therapists have sought her expertise in their own professional development to deepen their understanding of therapeutic movement.
Donna sees a great range of clients, from those with disease and injury to elite athletes, from the talented nine-year-old gymnast to the mature, obese client who can’t move without pain.
“My super power is helping people to understand their bodies and making movement feel awesome again!”
Donna provides a “movement sanctuary” for all who want to improve their quality of movement and offers movement sessions that receive rebate through Medicare and most private health funds.
