Wollongong lawyer Melinda Griffiths has been named regional/suburban lawyer of the year at the Lawyers Weekly Australian Law Awards. A principle lawyer at Slater and Gordon she specialises in motor vehicle accident and public liability claims and also has extensive experience working in historic childhood sexual abuse matters.
Ms Griffiths said the win was a wonderful testament to her team. “It was just amazing, words couldn’t describe the feeling when they called my name. It was very special and an honour to win. The past 12 months have been extremely rewarding for me and my team and I definitely wouldn’t have achieved this honour without their hard work. I have worked in the Wollongong and Illawarra region for more than 20 years so I’m extremely passionate about this community and its people.”
