The 19-year- old spent three-and- a-half years at Wiseman Park and takes over as Citos’ bowls coordinator from Brett Pieper. Skinner says he’s motivated to lead the way for young bowlers to take the next step in a bowls career.
‘’Shaun Parnis has put a lot of faith in me and I want to repay that faith,’’ Skinner said.
‘’The most important thing is being organised. Whether it’s social bowls, or the pennant season coming up I want to show the members I can do this job and so far everyone’s been really supportive and encouraging.’’
Skinner will fly the flag again for Wiseman Park in Triples and Fours at the upcoming State Championships. Skinner and Shane Garvey and Jason Cheadle are the 2017 Zone 16 Triples champions, with Skinner, Garvey, Tom Hull and Luke Cocksedge the Fours champs.
