There was a huge turnout to the Kiama Fishing Competition for kids, timed perfectly with school holidays, and more kids in the under six category than every before, with a good mix of locals and kids from surrounding areas.

More than 100 kids wet a line in a very well-attended fishing competition at Kiama Harbour on Saturday morning.
They were catching wrasse, flathead, bream, yellow tail, flounder, red morwong and trevally.
Up to 20 fish types have been caught in and around the harbour.
One of the kids even accidentally reeled in a stingray.
Funds raised were donated to the Peterborough special school.
On what was a perfect summer’s day Lions Minnamurra held a charity BBQ for the hungry anglers.
