Amity College Illawarra principal, Dr Mehmet Aslan said, “The Open Day is a great opportunity to meet staff and executive teams and see the primary classrooms and high school departments in action.”
There will be plenty happening on the day including:
- Kindergarten to Year 8 classroom displays and activities
- High school science experiments
- High school food technology stall
- STEM display
- Musical performances
- Amity FC stall
- Henna painting
- Free lunch/drinks provided
Amity College Illawarra is a non-denominational private school and offers quality education from Kindergarten to Year 8.
The Illawarra campus is one of three campuses, soon to be four, based in NSW and presents a diverse curriculum emphasising strong moral and ethical values.

Amity College promotes and engages in numerous interfaith and intercultural dialogue projects and the International Festival of Language and Culture (IFLC) is one of them.
The IFLC is an annual celebration showcasing musical talents from all around the world. It is a festival that celebrates diversity and promotes inclusion where students have an opportunity to join others from all around the world.
This year, Amity College will be co-hosting the 2018 IFLC on Saturday, May 5 at Sydney’s new International Convention Centre in Darling Harbour.
With diversity and social harmony such an important part of Amity College, the school will be celebrating Harmony Day on Wednesday, March 21.
Dr Aslan said, “The importance of Harmony Day is evident through our students’ very diverse ethnic, cultural and religious backgrounds. Students will be partaking in a variety of Harmony Day activities with visiting schools.”
